Andy's 30th Birthday

Monday was Andy's birthday!! He turned the big 3-0! I decided to throw him a surprise party!! We all went to ASUKA Japanese steakhouse....he had NO idea!! I can't believe I pulled it off....he usually figures things out...I was sneaky!! All of our Pulaski friends were there (some GA one's missing) and his face was priceless!! 30 is a big deal and I wanted everyone there to celebrate with him....he was excited....don't let him fool you!! We had a great night....more birthday's to come..........

We just bought a new car! What on earth are we thinking?

But we got a steal....2006 Nissan Armada...it is HUGE! I have to sit so close to the steering wheel! HA! It is exciting, yet sad! I sold my little, tiny Honda Civic. I have had her for 10 long years...she has been all over the continental United States!! Just a glimpse of the changes that come in life.

Our life is changing daily. We have lived in 5 different homes in our 5 years of marriage. We have lived in 3 different zip codes in 2 states. Life is always changing in the Sharpe home. Coaching basketball...recruiting students...traveling to see family....the things we do will constantly change our lives, but for the better!

I realized on Sunday that change is good. We have been visiting a new church for almost 3 months...www.therockcolumbia.com...it is beginning to change my life. I have watched people begin their journey with Christ, I have listened to stories of how Christ changed lives, and I am now witnessing him change mine. He is teaching me to put it all out on the table...teach others that his life was given for us....

I saw a church sign...it said, "Body piercings saved your life." Think about the piercing that changed your life....

Today I did this crazy facebook think...25 random facts about myself. I really didn't think too much about it until I actually began writing. I didn't realize what kind of life I have been living. I never knew the types of crazy things I did, said, or what type of beliefs I had. I just never thought about it. I'm kinda proud of the person I am, the person I'm becoming and the things I surround myself with. It's exciting when, in life, you realize, you are the person you want to be. What a crazy day!!

WOW! What a day!

So....this is my first blog!! I have been trying to set this is up forever and finally finished it today! Of all days, I can't believe I found time!! Today has been such a long day....working and working and working. I sometimes feel like the walls are caving in on me! Trying to get high school seniors to think about college is a joke!! Andy is gone...on a basketball trip! We play Lyon College on Thursday night in Arkansas...where thousands of people are without power and my husband is traveling there? Makes no sense? It's going to be a long week! No Andy, lots of work, and laundry!!
